Customer Reviews

We have done this trip many times in the past. The guide told lovely stories and shared interesting information - best guide ever. - L swart

Nice trip, friendly guide (Dennis). We have seen a lot of hippo's, unfortunately not so many crocs. - Tjeerd Snel

The briefing and The the ship were very well and confortable Maybe we expected to see more cocodrilos and hipos - Virginia Alonso

The boat trip was an enjoyable activity with a touch of humor. We had the opportunity to see quite a few hippos and a couple of crocodiles. The guide provided a professional and interesting commentary throughout the tour. - LM

We had a wonderful morning on the St Lucia Estuary viewing hippos, baby crocodiles, and birdlife - including watching a darter catch and eventually swallow a fish that looked far too big. The skipper was incredibly knowledgeable, and the crew were pleasant and attentive. Thank you! - Gillian Readman

Activity Description

Boat based whale watching in St Lucia is a 2 x hour boat based tour. The whales migrate past this stretch of coastline between the months of mid May to mid December annually , to calf and breed in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, moving as far as Mozambique and Madagascar before making the journey back to the Antarctic.
You may be fortunate to witness a 40ton acrobatic Humpback whale breaching a mere 50 meters away from the boat.
You may also see a variety of pelagic bird life, dolphin frolicking alongside the bow of the boat, sea turtles in season, shark, marlin, whale shark and other interesting marine mammals and cetacean – these sighting is a bonus, we will not necessarily see this on each tour. Customer Reviews

The tour was a wonderful experience and I think it was worth what I paid for it. Advantage was well organised and kept me updated including contacting me when it was necessary to cancel the tour I had originally booked due to weather conditions. Rebooking was done at my request and everything worked out perfectly. - Wendy Greeff

Wow, this trip was so much more than I expected!, seeing both humpback and southern right whales was a bonus. - Desiree Lester

Really great experience, would do again, and most likely will because unfortunately we had really bad weather a week before and so the whales were not that active, but our guide really tried hard to find some whales - we saw a flipper, a tail, and dolphins towards the end, but I think when the weather is better you would see more as it is the season (went in mid August). Would also recommend this company highly. We had really bad weather, and so they cancelled our trip, and the only day we could go was the day we were leaving back to Joburg, so they added us into a group booking at the early slot so that we could still make it back home in time - really helpful and considerate staff - just a really nice overall experience (which for someone terrified of the sea and of boats, was really appericated). - Jane Moore

The tour had to be cancelled due to weather conditions. The money was returned promptly. - Wolfgang Hiller

Wir fuhlten uns vom ersten Moment an sicher. Es war ein wunderschones Erlebnis. Momente der Ruhe auf dem indischen Ozean und die Buckelwale. Unser Skipper hat viele Infos weitergegeben. Sehr gerne wieder. - Sandra Junkert Biasi
