Join us for a captivating 2-hour Hippo and Crocodile boat cruise along the St. Lucia Estuary aboard our double-deck Advantage Cruiser passenger ferry. With ample walking space ideal for avid photographers, wheelchair accessibility, and comfortable upholstered seating, our cruise promises both comfort and excitement. Our knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the local ecosystems and the diverse wildlife inhabiting them.
Operating under legal concession in the St. Lucia section of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, concessions are granted by local government , Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism Oceans and Coast and iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority. Advantage Cruiser supports community upliftment and environmental conservation initiatives. Hippo and Crocodile Boat safari is the most done activity in St Lucia, this is the closest you will get to the animals/mammals being on a safe permitted vessel.
Toddlers under the age of 3 years are free of charge. You don’t have to purchase a ticket for them, just kindly send us an a-mail to info@advantagetours.co.za to let us know.
Kindly note that for the 08:00 AM hippo and boat trip, a minimum of 10 people is required for the trip to proceed. The boat will not embark on the 08:00 AM trip unless this minimum requirement is met. In the event that there are fewer than 10 participants, you will automatically be booked for the next available time slot.
For group bookings, snack platters can be pre-ordered through our office. These platters are provided by The Ocean Grill Restaurant in town, ensuring a delicious selection of refreshments for your journey
